TNSW Celebrates New Year 2081 and Holds Annual Meeting

The Nepalese Society of Wellington (TNSW) had a fun New Year 2081 celebration and Annual Meeting on April 13th at Khandallah Cornerstone Community Hall. A total of 116 adults and 50 kids from the Greater Wellington Region came to the event, and some also came from Kapiti Coast.

Kids from the Nepalese community put on a great show with traditional dances. They also sang the national anthems of New Zealand and Nepal in Nepalese outfits for the first time.

During the meeting, TNSW added new members to its Executive team and updated its rules. This will help TNSW register again as an official society.

TNSW wants to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the celebration and the meeting. They especially thank the kids who performed, Sarmila Tamang, Bikram Pandey, Adarsha Tiwari, and Laxman Bhattarai. They also appreciate Curry To Go (Dhurba Thapa & family), Aryan Twanju, advisors, the Executive Committee, and everyone else who helped make the event a success.
